The Arrival at Alchemy Festival
20 – 22 April, Southbank Centre
Get a special sneak preview of The Arrival - a theatre circus show based on Oscar winner Shaun Tan's graphic novel which tells the story of a man who leaves everything behind; family, home, language, work and status. This age-old tale of migration is explored through the poetics of image, multi-lingual narrative, music, choreography and circus arts. During the Alchemy Festival, this excerpt of the show will be rehearsed in situ.

One Day Mini-Festival at Rich Mix
Friday 27 April 10am – 10.30pm
We present a mini-festival of theatre, film and free workshops at our new home, Rich Mix, in East London.
The day will see showcases from Tamasha's Associate Artists, including filmmaker Kuldip Powar, poet Avaes Mohammad, Tanya Singh, Amman Brar and Shireen Mula, plus scratches from TDA collective The London Bus and a sneak peek of upcoming production My Name Is - then join us in the bar for some music!
The free actor's masterclass, writers masterclass and workshop in video and film will take place between 10am and 1pm - more details here.

Happy Birthday to Zohra Segal!
We are thrilled to wish Zohra Segal a Happy 100th Birthday! Zohra is a legendary actress and we were lucky enough to work with her in 1995 when she played the role of The Old Woman in A Yearning (see picture above).
To celebrate her life and achievements, short talks, sketches and reminiscences on her span in India and the UK will be presented at Nehru Centre, Tuesday 24th April at 7pm. For further information, please email sumanb@tiscali.co.uk / 07930 101 894.
