Playwriting residency

A part-time playwright-in-residence for your school, college or youth theatre

A playwriting residency can last for one term or one year and allows an emerging professional playwright to spend one or two days per week embedded within your organisation. Projects undertaken within that time can include any of the workshops or courses described above, alongside curriculum support in timetabled Drama or English classes. The flexibility of this format allows for sessions to be run by request, for example sessions on Dramatic Structure for students starting to develop ideas for assessed performance in GCSE Drama, or sessions on monologues or Shakespeare for GCSE English.

Costs vary according to the length of the residency but overall work out as better value delivered as part of a part-time salary than as individual projects.

Cost: Varies, please enquire. Email fin@tamasha.org.uk.
