Playwrights! Learn to develop your characters & dialogue in our latest Masterclass

Saturday 17 November 2018, 10am - 5pm
Tamasha, Rich Mix, 35 - 47 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 6LA

A practical full-day workshop for playwrights, led by playwright and Artistic Director Fin Kennedy, which looks at ways to generate original character ideas, locate each character's energy and personality type, and understand how that impacts on their behaviour and speech patterns within a scripted scene.

Participants will learn how to write rounded and believable human beings and capture their voice within a script, and leave with a set of exercises and tools to deploy those characters into interesting dramatic scenarios that audiences will find compelling. Over the course of the day, there will be time to develop two new characters of one's own and start to write a conversation between them within a scene.

Course fee

The workshop fee is £50 for the day. Payment must be received in advance, upon confirmation that you have been allocated a place.
