Workshop at Circus Space, 2010

Circus Training

Tamasha, Circus Space and Upswing are seeking Black and Asian (BAME)* physical performers from a dance and/or acting background willing to train in circus and aerial theatre.

The three organisations have come together to offer this unique opportunity to Black and Asian actors, dancers and physical performers who wish to try their hand at circus and aerial work to gain a better understanding of the potential of these exciting artforms.

We are looking to develop and nurture new talent so we are offering this training free of charge. There will also be the opportunity to join a pool of performers to work with Upswing and Tamasha in the future.

Training will take place at the Circus Space in London, N1 (near Old Street tube) from Monday 1st to Friday 12th August (mornings only).

To apply and for more information, please email with a covering letter and a CV, telling us about your current experience and why you would be the perfect candidate for this opportunity.

Please also complete and include the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form found here.

Closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 5th July 2011.

*Sections 34 and 37 of the Race relations Act 1976 apply to this initiative.

Tamasha, Nitro, Circus Space and Upswing previously held this course at The Circus Space in London from 26 July - 7 August 2010.
