This opportunity is open to artists from all cultural backgrounds.
Deadline for applications: Tuesday 14th May, 12 noon

This workshop is for emerging performing and visual artists. The workshop is open to anyone interested in increasing their understanding of how technology is currently being used creatively. This masterclass aims to illustrate how technology is being used currently in performance based work, and to highlight work being created at the cutting edge between traditional artforms and new technologies.

Hellicar&Lewis
is the creative direction partnership between Pete Hellicar and Joel Gethin Lewis. Their work uses art, technology and design to create groundbreaking experiences that take people into the moment to impart lasting memories. Their projects bring together traditional media, interaction and digital networks to make feedback loops between people, technology and places. Hellicar&Lewis have worked for a wide range of commercial companies, including Intel, Coca Cola, Uniqlo and Nokia. Their artwork has been exhibited in the Tate Modern, the V&A, and the FOAM Gallery, Amsterdam. Hellicar&Lewis also work in educational and theraputic contexts. They are involved in an ongoing project creating interactive software for young people on the Autistic Spectrum, as well as regularly running workshops across the world.

This TDA masterclass is open to anyone interested in how new technologies are being used creatively in performance and experiential based activities. The workshop will centre on using Paper Prototyping to focus on systems that make new experiences, rather than the technology itself.
