Hear Me Now

Are you an early career actor that's tired of the same audition materials?

This is a fantastic and FREE opportunity for actors from culturally diverse backgrounds to work with a writer to develop unique actor-centred audition pieces that avoid stereotypes, and can better showcase the actors' range.

Over the course of two free workshops, you will work with a writer from our current cohort of Tamasha Playwrights, who will in turn write a 3-minute audition piece based on a character that you have created.

Hear Me Now is a format which Tamasha has run since 2016, bringing together actors and playwrights of colour to develop better quality audition material that empowers actors during the casting process.

You'll be taken through an imaginative process to create a new character of your own, which avoids stereotypes and better showcases your range. The resulting monologues written by our writers will be considered for publication in a new  anthology.

Interested actors must be available for both workshops at Rich Mix in London
 on the following dates:

Workshop 1: Fri 6 July, 2pm - 4.30pm
Workshop 2: Fri 10 August, 2pm - 4.30pm

If you would like to take part, please send your CV, a short letter outlining your interest in this opportunity, and a completed data form to nisha@tamasha.org.uk

Deadline for applications: Mon 25 June, 5pm
