In Conversation

In Conversation is the result of a recent collaboration between Tamasha and Arts Council England which looked at the current positioning of culturally diverse artists and performing arts companies.

A series of conversations took place between January 2004 and October 2005 with the aim of having a serious and new debate about how identity informs the making of work and how identity is also central to how work is received.

Artistic directors, practitioners, independent companies and critics all contributed to the conversation and the comprehensive report of these conversations can be found here.

The report was commissioned by Tamasha and Arts Council England and was written by arts education consultant, Sita Brahmachari.
