Norman Beaton Open Casting Session

Saturday 9th December 2017 at Tamasha

Apply by Monday 4th December 2017

Are you a professional actor or actress who has not trained at an accredited drama school? Are you looking to expand your experience by working in radio drama?

We are one of 8 companies nationwide chosen to work with BBC Radio Drama to workshop suitable candidates for the annual Norman Beaton Fellowship.

This is a fantastic opportunity for 8-10 professional actors - who haven’t trained at an accredited drama school - to audition for a 5-month contract with the BBC Radio Drama Company.

We are on the look-out for versatile voices who feel at home working collaboratively and are happy to play as cast in a variety of roles across a range of Radio Drama productions. Previous winners who have auditioned with Tamasha include Adeel Akhtar, Karen Bartke and Gavi Singh Chera.

This year we are hosting an open casting session on Saturday 9th December 2017 prior to the scheduled workshop date with the BBC in January 2018 to meet Tamasha Developing Artists who are eligible and interested in taking part.

HOW TO APPLY:

To register your interest in taking part in the open casting session, please send a recent headshot and up-to-date CV to projects@tamasha.org.uk by Monday 4th December 2017.

Successful applicants will be notified of the time of their session by Wednesday 06 December 2017 and will be sent further information about what to expect on the day.

Auditionees will need to prepare two contrasting monologues (lasting no more than three minutes in total). They do not need to be memorised. The session will take place at Tamasha's offices in London.

We regret that due to high demand we are unable to respond to applicants who have not been offered an open casting session time-slot on this occasion.
