Observer Traineeships

 

Observer Traineeships offer emerging directors a closely mentored opportunity to observe the entire rehearsal period of a Tamasha production, from the first day in the studio to the opening night performance.  We also offer the opportunity to observe in workshops and other events.

Combining observation with in-depth trainee / mentor conversations, practical exercises and involvement in creative and production meetings, Observer Traineeships provide first-hand experience of Tamasha’s practice and allows space for each trainee to explore this approach in relation to his/her own creative process.

A Fine Balance

12 March - 4 April 2007

Tamasha’s adaptation of Rohinton Mistry’s Booker-shortlisted novel is being remounted at the Hampstead Theatre in Spring 2007. Rehearsals will take place from 12 – 30 March 2007, opening at Hampstead Theatre on 4 April.  We are offering two Observer Traineeships for members who are interested in directing.

The Individual Actor workshops

5 March 2007 / 30 May 2007 / Autumn 2007 date tbc

One-day workshops to be held at Clean Break Theatre, 2 Patshull Road, London NW5 2LB.  We are offering two Observer Traineeships for members who are interested in directing.

Cost
All observerships are offered free.  Please note, however, that these are London-based positions and successful applicants will need to cover their own costs.
