Over To You…

Another Tamasha Scratch Night

Do you ever feel frustrated about what you see or don’t see on stage? What themes, worlds or communities still aren’t being represented? We are living through tumultuous times – how should theatre respond?

We want to scratch the plays a company like ours – a diverse, cutting edge touring theatre company of 27 years – should be producing. We have our ideas but we want to hear yours. So, rather than select plays around a theme that we have set, for our latest scratch night, the floor is yours!

Over the course of three weeks, 70 artists submitted plays to scratch. After a very competitive selection process, we have narrowed this down to the four gripping short plays we will present, including:

Finding José by Amal Chatterjee

Graveyard Girlz by Lakesha Arie-Angelo

Other Please Explain by Lynsey Martenstyn

The Affairs of Men by Sid Sagar

Grab your chance to see bold new work in development on stage, followed by a Q&A with the writers.

Previous scratch night audience feedback:

"I love the Tamasha scratch nights. Always interesting, challenging, great way for artists to try stuff out."

"Meaningful, universal, engaging, worthwhile."

"Really good event. I am a writer, just starting off and it was a fantastic experience to be able to witness (rather than just read) and contribute to ‘work in progress’ – thanks for the opportunity."
