The Arrival
Co-created by Kristine Landon-Smith and Sita Brahmachari
Inspired by the graphic novel by Shaun Tan
Directed by Kristine Landon -Smith; Scripted by Sita Brahmachari
A Tamasha and Circus Space collaboration
The Arrival is a theatre circus show based on Oscar winner Shaun Tan's graphic novel of the same name, which tells the story of a man who leaves everything behind; family, home, language, work and status. Equipped only with the objects he can carry in his suitcase, his intelligence and imagination, he must constantly re-invent himself. This age-old tale of migration is explored through the poetics of image, multi-lingual narrative, music, choreography and circus arts.
Following a period of research and development a second year circus arts student showcases of The Arrival was performed at Circus Space. Click here to see the highlights video›
