Sudha is joint founder and Artistic Director of Tamasha, and is both an actor and playwright. For Tamasha she has most recently played Rabia in Emteaz Hussain’s Sweet Cider and Dina Dalal in A Fine Balance. Her many acting credits include Murder, EastEnders, Doctors, Holby City (all BBC) and Haroun and the Sea of Stories (National Theatre), and she was a regular on the BBC Radio drama Silver Street. Her writing credits for Tamasha include Balti Kings, Fourteen Songs, Two Weddings and A Funeral, Strictly Dandia and A Fine Balance. Her new play The House of Bilquis Bibi – adapted from Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba – will première at Hampstead Theatre in July before a national tour co-produced by Tamasha and Harrogate Theatre.
