Sally Woodcock

Sally Woodcock is a playwright, producer, director and teacher who has lived in Pakistan, Kenya, the US and the UK. Her first full-length play Fanta Orange (Finborough;developed at NT Studio) won Little Brother's Big Opportunity II, Exeunt Critic's Pick 2011, nominated for Best New Play by Offwestend and Time Out and selected for International Playwriting Festival (Warehouse Croydon). Horses For Courses was shortlisted for Papatango new writing festival, and Clever shortlisted for  Menagerie Sparks. Other plays include Blue Whales (RADA Festival, Luton Library Theatre);  Pink Gin (Salisbury Playhouse), Come to Where I'm From (Gate Theatre for Paines Plough / Tamasha); Trouser Department (Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh), All the Wrong Reasons (Bridewell)  Wedding Belles (Gilded Balloon & Hill Street, Edinburgh; 78th St Theater Lab, NY), Making Up (Jermyn St).  Work in progress includes U-Bend (for Royal Court Invitation group) to be directed by former Head of RADA MA Sue Dunderdale and four-part TV Drama Shamba for Little Brother Productions. She co-founded Horseshoe Theatre Co (Cambridge), staging curriculum dramas and running workshops for schools from 2005-2010.
