Tamasha Directors Programme: Call Out

Deadline: 12pm on Monday 27 January 2020

We're soliciting applications for the pilot year of our Tamasha Directors Programme.

Tamasha Directors Programme, is a year-long pilot, led by Sita Thomas, focused on the professional and artistic development of Directors of colour, who are at the beginning to mid-stages of their career, and who demonstrate exceptional promise.

The programme will cover the Director's role in a production, where directors will engage in practical activities and group discussion, covering topics such as: working with text, working with actors, working with a creative team movement direction, tech and dress and so much more. In addition, each Director will receive mentoring, peer and industry networking opportunities, a masterclass with a renowned director, and a speed-dating session with our Tamasha Playwrights group, where each Director will be paired with a playwright to approach a new piece of writing. Plus there will be the opportunity to direct a Tamasha Scratch at the end of the programme.

We actively encourage applications from directors of colour.
