Tamasha Scratch Night:

The Playwrights 2017 - Beginnings

We're back with an evening of scratch performances of dynamic new writing from four writers from our 2017 Tamasha Playwrights group.

A writer-led collective founded in 2014, Tamasha Playwrights is formed of eight emerging playwrights from a diverse range of backgrounds which is refreshed every year. After a year of support and training led by Artistic Director Fin Kennedy, the playwrights have developed new scripts four of which will be performed script-in-hand by professional actors.

The 'beginnings' of the four plays you will see are:

Meatz R Uz by Afshan D’Souza-Lodhi

Gaze by Rabiah Hussain

Asylum by Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi

Wolfie by Ross Willis

Grab your chance to see bold new work in development on stage for the first time, followed by a Q&A with the writers and Fin Kennedy.

Previous scratch night audience feedback:

"I love the Tamasha scratch nights. Always interesting, challenging, great way for artists to try stuff out."

"Meaningful, universal, engaging, worthwhile."

"Really good event. I am a writer, just starting off and it was a fantastic experience to be able to witness (rather than just read) and contribute to ‘work in progress’ – thanks for the opportunity.
