Tandem Shaml: Tamasha & Spectacle Pour Tous International Exchange

We're pleased to announce an exciting and innovative collaboration with Moroccan company Spectacle Pour Tous

The Tamasha and Spectacle Pour Tous Exchange is an experimental international project, as part of Tandem Shaml that seeks to explore ways of making theatre that connects young people from different cultural backgrounds in a shared artistic dialogue rooted firmly in collaborative exchange and embracing other cultures.

In a dynamic exploration of ways of approaching international collaboration to share cross cultural experiences, Tamasha Developing Artists Zia Ahmed and Jude Christian will be working alongside artists from Spectacle Pour Tous to deliver workshops in Tangier (May 2017) and London (August 2017) with young people aged 14-17, co-creating a new piece of theatre with the project participants in each locality inspired by their stories and experiences.

The work created in Tangier will be shared with a public audience and performed in Spectacle Pour Tous' Camion Theatre - a theatre on wheels. The work created in London will be devised with the Lyric Young Company and shared with an audience of friends and family hosted by the Lyric Hammersmith.
