Observers

Jill Donker Curtius trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and soon after began working with Ipswich Theatre TIE team. She works as a freelance acting coach and is doing an MA in Actor Training at Central. She is currently working at Mountview Academy directing a musical.

Melanie Hillyard trained at Rose Bruford College, University of Berkeley, California and the University of Kent  She has directed productions at the King's Head Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, Rose Theatre, Lumley Studio and Durham Studio Theatre, and been assistant director on Me and My Girl (London Palladium), The Shadowmaster (King's Head) and The Winter's Tale (Courtyard) amongst others.

Sophie Larsmon has recently returned from three months of travelling and working in India. In Mumbai, she ran workshops for actors and school children, and directed a show as part of the Thespo Theatre Festival held at Prithvi Theatre and the National Centre of Performing Arts. Prior to this she set up her own theatre company and has assisted on various shows, including Shared Experience's A Passage to India.

Alice Knight grew up in London and Auckland, New Zealand. She is in her final year of the BA Directing course at Drama Centre. Her most recent projects have included an adaptation of Titus Andronicus; Moss, a new play by Nicola Baldwin; and a devised piece about the marriage of Lord and Lady Byron.
